Marisa’s Cancer Journey & Recovery by Reimagining the Possible

Marisa left the corporate world in 1998 when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and given 9 months to live. Refusing to accept this death sentence, she developed and implemented an integrative healing program that combines the best of all disciplines—including both traditional medical practices and science-based complementary approaches. She learned that healing takes place on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. To this day, Marisa is healthy and cancer-free.

And yet, even though she had beaten cancer, she realized that she was still not happy—that there was something within her that stood in the way of living an extraordinary life. She found that recovering from Stage 4 cancer was easier than identifying and letting go of the limiting thoughts from her upbringing and society. Just as she had sought out the best healing team for her cancer, she also sought out the best experts in LifeMastery. This journey led her to develop and deliver programs based on whole life living.

Living a Life Fulfilled

Having transformed her own life and supporting hundreds of others do the same, Marisa wholeheartedly believes in the transformational power of Integrative Coaching and now devotes her life to this work. She has coached hundreds of people who are in pain, in transition, or in an emotional malaise to a place of healing, passion, and joy. She has combined this transformational coaching with her extensive business background to create a corporate program.

Most recently, Marisa has partnered with the Metrus Group in delivering a program for businesses that clarifies and promotes alignment between personal and professional goals. This initiative grew out of a book called FULFILLED! Critical Choices: Work, Home, Life which is based on how Marisa took a business success process which had transformed a sluggish company into a powerhouse. Even more extraordinary, she applied the same success principles to a deadly diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. The author, William A. Schiemann, CEO of Metrus Group and Marisa have codified the lessons learned from business and life into a training program that contributes to both individual and organizational success.
